About
Super Calendar (super-calendar.io) is an independent project focused on dynamic WebCal feeds for useful real-world data.
Instead of checking separate apps, dashboards, websites, or APIs, Super Calendar lets you subscribe to calendar feeds that update over time and appear directly in the calendar app you already use.
The goal is simple: make calendars more useful without turning them into another closed platform.
What Super Calendar does
Super Calendar generates dynamic calendar feeds for information such as:
- Weather
- Exchange rates
- Holidays
- Moon phases
- Seasons
- Finance-related dates
- Religious and cultural dates
- Custom events
- Other useful time-based data
These feeds can be subscribed to from calendar clients that support WebCal or ICS subscriptions, including Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and compatible calendar apps.
Why WebCal
WebCal is simple, portable, and widely supported.
A calendar feed does not need a complex account system to be useful. In many cases, a stable subscription URL is enough. You add it once, and your calendar client keeps it updated.
Super Calendar is built around that idea: useful data should be available through open, predictable calendar feeds.
Privacy and data
Super Calendar is designed to avoid unnecessary data collection.
The project does not need to know who you are just to generate public calendar data. Whenever possible, feeds are based on explicit options such as location, language, category, currency, or calendar type.
The intent is to keep the service practical, transparent, and respectful of users.
About this blog
This blog is where Super Calendar publishes updates, technical notes, product decisions, changelogs, and explanations about how the project works.
It is also a place to document design choices openly, including what the project supports, what it does not support yet, and why certain decisions were made.
Status
Super Calendar is under active development.
Some feeds, pages, or features may change as the project evolves. The focus is to build a stable foundation first: clear feeds, predictable URLs, good documentation, and useful calendar data.
